Echoes of Autumn

500mm · f/8 · 1/2 · ISO 160

Photograph composed of 21 focus stacked images.

Due to the distance between the first surface and second surface, I didn’t want to use a mirror. Instead, I chose a piece of 11” x 14” glass and placed it on black paper, to achieve the appearance of two leaves touching.

I chose imperfect black paper for the blues cast as it was complementary.

The photo required focus stacking due to the shallow depth of field as the camera was placed at the minimum focus distance of the lens.

Light consists of indirect sunlight. Editing consisted of just a few uses of spot cleaning.
