First full moon of the new year. I wanted to find a way to shoot it but also be more than just the moon. This Great Blue Heron provided me with a wonderful minute or two and I’m grateful. It was patiently allowing me several opportunities with multiple compositions and the clouds moved into the frame as the sunrise just lit the bird up. The moon was totally hidden and the light which lasted only a few seconds was gone when the bird took flight.
