Prometheus

Since Peter Lik's celebrated Tree of Zen many photographers went on a quest to find a tree as unique and spectacular. There are probably millions of these japanese maple trees in the world and so far there was not a tree found that matched the popularity of that famous Portland celebrity. I was recently blessed to stumble upon this rarest of specimens in Vancouver BC. Some photographs are not planned, they are given. I named it - Prometheus to capture a flame like spirit of this tree.
