Porphyry Chapter 2

Porphyry — shot outdoors, haze and natural light doing the work no studio wall could fake. Red hair catches the only warmth in the frame; everything else recedes into shadow. The gaze shifts across the set — searching upward, then locking on the lens — tracing a single figure's movement from vulnerability to command.

Named for the imperial stone: rare, blood-toned, historically reserved for the powerful.

Part of an ongoing series under The Ninth Form, built around gothic and folkloric portraiture.
