A collage of images depicting the 2026 total solar eclipse from our balcony on the Enchanted Princess cruise ship. We experienced totality at sea and saw the corona with almost zero cloud. I can tell you this is by some margin the greatest travel and photography experience of my life!

Unique and well done capture/presentation.
This is an excellent collage of excellent photos. I'd like to ask you something. My husband and I are both pst rtirement age and both are disabled. I always have been, John because he is almost 80. We isn't keen on the idea of a cruise and I have my worries too of being on a ship with 0000s of people. It seems claustrophobic. However, from my photography pov it seems like a very good thing to do. What was you experience like? I appreciate you are very much younger and me (67) but we share a passion and you are smart enough to understand what I am asking about. I have been perusing you other photos and your artistry is obvious.
Thank you for your message Colin. I think your concerns about a ship seeming claustrophobic can be mitigated in several ways. The choice of ship is an important one and like many things in life, you get what you pay for. The less expensive party ships (Carnival particularly) are full to the rafters with people. A larger budget affords you more space. You should also look to small or mid size ships and not the goliath ships with 5k+ passengers. Cruise ships (at least the ones I've been on - Princess being the best in my opinion) are renowned for being accessible and catering to people with differing levels of physical ability. I would consider a shorter sailing (5-7 days) to see if it is for you, before committing to a larger voyage.
