Weathered

I created this portrait while visiting New Orleans, using a Nikon Zf during the last moments of magic hour. As the sun dropped lower behind the buildings, most of the street had already fallen into shadow, but one small pocket of light remained.

The sunlight was reflecting off a warm-colored wall across the street, creating this beautiful, soft glow that landed perfectly on my subject. It felt almost like a natural studio light, warm, directional, and incredibly brief.

Sometimes the best lighting setup is just there!
