Anna

A black and white studio portrait from a recent session with the model, Anna. For this shot, I wanted to strip away the distraction of colour and focus entirely on texture, light, and the subject's expression.
I captured the image using the medium-format Fujifilm GFX50s paired with the razor-sharp Fujinon GF110mm f/2 R LM WR lens. This combination provides incredible detail across the tonal range, pulling out subtle highlights in the hair and a smooth roll-off in the skin tones. I shaped the lighting with Godox studio strobes to create a classic, clean portrait layout with a gentle fall-off into a clean background.
I post-processed in Capture One to preserve midtone contrast and emphasise fine details, creating a timeless monochrome finish.
