Late February in 2019 saw lots of barn owls at Farmington Bay, hunting through mid-morning and then picking up the hunt again in late afternoon. They flew up and down the side of the road, often just a few feet from us as they searched for food. This one, likely a female, flew low, fast and perfectly silent less than 15 away from me.
