At the end of an hike in the italian appennines, on the other side of a little valley I saw this dead tree alone in the middle of many others living ones. It was majestic, bigger than the others. It reminded me of a wooden dragon, or an old Ent, from the Lord of the Rings.
It was so full of courage and resilience, standing there, dead but still strong.
