A celebration of the arrival of the Autumn season with its unique colors and graceful means of defoliation. This was shot on Sept. 11th, an impromptu session shot just up the hill from me (the model is a babysitter and the wardrobe is my own) because I needed to take a break from all the sad memories brought up on the anniversary of that date. I wanted to create something beautiful and peaceful, expressing the passage of time and change in a lyrical way, as I was feeling a tremendous yearning to connect with something greater than ourselves.
Shot with my Canon 5D Mark iii, 85mm 1.2L lens and edited with my own actions, overlays, and textures in Photoshop.
