The flight left Tacoma, Wa headed for Anchorage, Alaska.... "Heading Home"... Poor weather conditions forced them to land at Gustavus airport... the attempt was a fatal landing when the right wing caught a tall tree that made the aircraft to spin and nose into the ground.

Photo taken summer 2019. Bummer all I had was my iphone at the time. If you ever go to Glacier Bay National Park, be sure to stop at the trailhead and hike in the 10 minute hike to see this historical site!
