Baby Mallard hybrid swimming at Huntley Meadows Park in Alexandria Virginia. This little guy would only venture a few yards from his mother and would retreat to under his mother's wing when done exploring his world.

Thanks! I'm a big fan of Huntley Meadows and visit a half dozen times throughout the year. The settings for this photo were ISO 500, f/6.3, 600mm, 1/1600 sec... The water was darkened in post to add to the impact of the reflection. Lot's of cloning to clear out the debris in the water.
