In this photo I tried to turn something normal, like spoon and fork into a picture that needs a few seconds to be understood.
Most important was the lightning that was shot through an aluminium sheet from underneath the subject. This created a reflection on the silver spoon that made it look like an UFO :)
Later i just turned the white balance a bit cooler and did some color grading.
Yeah, it took me a minute to figure out what it was too, that's what makes it so great.

Nice abstract approach on common items. At first it looked like a high-tech Spider-man logo or a macro shot of a fly's head. Great shot!

Have just seen this image - it's fantastic. Looks like a head-on macro of a futuristic fly. Inspires me to experiment with my old light-box.
This is world class still life. I love it when it takes you a few minutes to decipher what the objects actually are. At first glance it looks futuristic, alien even. But its simplicity renders it graceful.
