Veronica and I envisioned the concept of a sort of 'becoming' using some smoke bombs and an evocative location out in the wilds of Florida. On the evening of the shoot , our team explored on the back trails and went scouting for inspiration. There were a few good possibilities, when one her friends mentioned a ‘Tree Stump’ near the train tracks. We felt called. The tree was dreary, run down and grown over... absolutely perfect. We did a few test shots and the old tree just took us over. Veronica’s boyfriend, Hard Luck, ignited some smoke bombs around the location and the atmosphere took on a life of its own, almost as if the tree had summoned us there for just this reason.

The lighting was pretty straight forward using a NEEWER AD-360 as over head light and 2 yongnuo 600s as side and slight backlight. Post processing done in Lightroom then Photoshop for minor details
