This image was captured during the first sunrise of the year here in Hawaii. Every year, hundreds of people flock to the east side of the island to watch the sunrise on January 1st. This particular morning was perfect because the winds had shifted to the south, drawing in the volcanic fog (vog), and creating a beautiful filter for the sun to shine through as it rose above the horizon.
I like this shot! I think that the ratio is perfect and also timing is good. I think that the foreground is a little to much low exposed... Nice work :)
