This is a moonlit photo of an igloo taken at Carson Pass, Ca on Valentine's Day. If you look closely you can see a little heart over the entryway. This was Sunrise Mountain Sport's 38th year of teaching people how to make igloos. I heard about it and couldn't resist the urge to build one and take photos too (although I didn't build this one). It's hard to imagine but we got 19 people in there to celebrate. We had wine, appetizers and a couple of great blues musicians! It was cold and windy outside but cozy inside. I had to hold my tripod down to keep it from vibrating. Most of the light you see inside the igloo was coming from a couple of candles. It's amazing how much light bounces around the pure white walls.
