Turimetta is sandwiched in between some of the most popular beaches on the north side of Sydney, but there's no surf club, no lifesavers, so it's almost always empty except for a few dog walkers, and a few surfers when the breaks are good. I love shooting there, it's like you're in the middle of nowhere, and there's no real sense that a city of 4 million is just over the top of the headland.
This shot is from a series we did for Mijanou Swimwear. We'd done a lot of great shots in the white bikini; before we moved on to the next look we shot a few with just the briefs. I love the monochromatic feel of this, all gold and coffee and chocolate, with the sunrise flaring the right hand side of the frame and the waves coming across the rockshelf.
