This shot was taken at sunrise using a Nikon D3100, which interestingly enough placed me right next to the filming of the 2017 Baywatch remake. Shooting at f/3.5 allowed me to get the maximum amount of light onto the sensor and shorten the shutter speed to 1/320 and capture as much detail as possible in the waves. In post production I combined two exposures by hand, one for the sky and beach and the other for the underside of the pier. Other than that processing was minimal, short of simple adjustment layers and levels tweaks.
