The dying city

I strongly wanted to have "Civita di Bagnoregio" in my landscape-cityscape portfolio. This is a unique place in the center of Italy and I have never been there before. I was there for planning my wedding in Tuscania (VT) and, not too far from there, there is this beautiful "dying city" connected to the world by a single bridge. We scouted the best position to take the picture, we managed to gain a position from the panoramic square always totally busy. I put my tripod on the stone table and waited for the sunset. A long wait. The sky was interesting but not incredible, I tried to take advantage of the beautiful pink reflections of the mountains behind..and after the sunset I waited for the town lights as well. It was windy and sometimes difficult. The choice to get on the table has proved successful since the comings and goings of people during the entire session. I have to thank my wife for being patient as always, but in the end I thanked her with a good dinner. This is the final blending result. I hope you like it

Terrific image! Love the balance of natural and lights from the town (even though I'm sure there really isn't much artificial light since so few people live here). Is there an easily accessible lookout point that you shot this from?

Thank you Aneesh for your comment and appreciation: yes it is really easy to reach this point of view, the only difficult is to arrive before di other photographers :)
About the artificial lights, those that you see here were the only ones
