his shot is a sneak pead from my Brothers Grim inspired editorial series for Frida Detroit. For this series I wanted to achieve a dark, moody, bohemian look that complemented the muted colors of our wardrobes.
To get our location just right, we needed a rugged forest, that was easily accessible. So we decided to shoot on a mountain biking trail, 20 minutes out of Detroit.
We had a 60" octabox on location with a 600W studio strobe, so we were able to overpower the sun, with really beautiful soft light.
I had a fantastic team to work with and I couldn't be happier for the final results. Full series coming soon, hopefully in Hour Detroit magazine.
