One of my favourite photos from a recent shoot with a dear friend of mine, Beccy. The light and weather were pretty bleak that day (we're cursed - all four of our shoots have been plagued by bad luck), so I decided to try out one of my favourite techniques. By having her stand just under the leafy branches of one of the trees in the forest path we were walking down, I can create a softer light. Her face is illuminated by the light - even if the sky is dull and grey - and in contrast to the darkness under the trees, creates a real nice light and tone. Particularly it's soft, which is what I like. I feel like we made the best out of a bad lighting situation!
