I went back to Belfast, Northern Ireland, to see my friends and family (and for a shoot for Guardian Travel). One day, I decided to research some locations and I found out about this waterfall about 30 mins drive from my house. No-one I talked to had really heard of it! Well, here is Glenoe Waterfall, between Larne and Carrickfergus.

It was sunny, but raining and I couldn't get the composition I wanted from the edge, so I rolled up my jeans, took off my shoes and socks and waded through the river for about an hour. It was pretty cold and painful, and I kept getting splashes of water on the lens from being so low to the river, but I think it was worth it.
