Another Night, Another Dream

Yes, I am a dreamer and I love dreaming because dreaming is believing :).

Before and during my trips, its my habit to imagine and plan too much about the places I would visit, finding good spots, thinking about where I would stand and place my tripod etc etc. It really helps when you are finally there and planning your shots. But sometimes things don't go your way, due to bad light, weather conditions, shortage of time, could be anything. You take some shots but then you realise that you have nothing special to work on later.

This happens with me very often, I don't always find and capture what I have in my mind and I end up with not so good shots and mostly with a good foreground and a dull sky. I don't usually trash such images, I rather wait for the time when something clicks my brain and I turn it to something I imagined but couldn't capture at that moment.

Last month I went to Deosai دیوسائی National Park which is the most amazing place I have ever seen yet in Pakistan. Unfortunately I and my buddies stayed there for just a few hours as we had to leave for Skardu before dawn, which meant, no night shooting. Anyhow I wandered around and took some shots during daylight, had a lunch, enjoyed and left to Skardu.

So, this is a composite of two different images. The foreground was shot in Deosai and the sky was added from an other image that I took last year in Jand, Attock. Merged the two to create a composite and later applied my voodoo magic to create a night feel. In the end I added a rider with a horse to make the composition a lil more interesting.
