I have been wanting to create a black and white image with a "POP" of color. This photo was inspired by the film Blade Runner.
The lines behind the model were created using painter's tape between 2 light stands. You can see the drop shadow from the tape on the backdrop. This added some cool depth to the image rather than just having the tape lay flat.
