Cape Hatteras Lighthouse; an icon of the Outer Banks of North Carolina has been keeping sailors and fishermen safe for well over a hundred years. The rotating light, however, makes photographing it at night a challenge. Recently the motor that turns the light malfunctioned and the normally rotating beams that swept across the landscape were still allowing me to capture this image during blue hour. a Day later, the light was fixed and returned to its constant vigil.
