Looking through the viewfinder, nothing was visible. Rider after rider I shot nothing but frames of glare from the setting sun at the end of a long day riding Trollhaugen. Only a split second of darkness from Connor blocking out the sun hinted at a rider in the frame; finally, after sitting and blowing countless shots for what seemed like forever (or at least long enough to wonder why the hell I was still wasting my strobe battery and blinding myself) I had the shot I was looking for. For you non-long winded types: This shot took way too long and most likely involved retinal damage, but I think it turned out rad. I'm also horrible at captioning photos.
