Drifted

If you ever want to feel connected to the planet go to a glacier, if you can find a cave even better. I stood in this cathedral of a cave, being dwarfed by the size of it, realizing that the ice in this cave was centuries old.

Excellent photo! Where was this taken?

Thanks. It was take. I'm on Athabasca Glacier in Jasper National Park Canada last year. This cave has since collapsed in.

love it!. Nice leading lines and difference in textures between the soft powder snow and the chizzled ice. the mountain at the exit finishes the picture.

Thanks for the kind words. I was amazed that I could even get a single shot I was so nervous about being in there. All the scary thoughts of it caving in kept filling my head. Luckily it went smooth and I got this shot off. I just wish I put someone on the big ice mound in the middle to give it scale. This place was huge.

Amazing David! I like the presence of the mountain in the entrance of the ice cave
