I was hired by Chris Lord to produce a few images for his new album, News from Nowhere. The goal was to photograph him and show some sort of void. We brainstormed for weeks. I believe we accomplished our goal. This photo was for me. Every job I take on, I do my best to get something out of it for myself. As a portrait photographer, I felt I could get something with what I had that fit his personality, and lifestyle; something significant. Chris is a very thoughtful musician, so I wanted to capture him in thought, and give drama through his expression.
