Flowing Light

This was my first night shooting with el wire. I took ten shots in total and each one blew my mind. You never quite know what you are going to get when swinging the el wire behind your model. Sometimes it looks like a mess and others just leave you mesmerized.

This is 5 second exposure. I've found any longer and it gets messy and any shorter you don't get good coverage of light. The el wire is wrapped around my left and right hand to shorten it a bit. I am using an Impact power sync 16-80 to trigger the photos from behind the model.

Be forewarned you are going to whip you model! Even if you are a cowboy...it's just going to happen. So warn your model so they can expect it.

This is an awesome experiment to try. You'll be amazed at what you can create.
