In this picture I am doing a piece of choreography called the A Scale. The A Scale uses all twelve points of the icosahedron as markers for the dancer to sweep between. The light pink/white sweeps of color are the line of my moving fingers as my arm sweeps around me. The red light is attached to my heart and shows the path my heart travels through space. This piece of choreography was done during a 25 second exposure.
This shot was taken in a black box theater. We had a scrim up behind us, and a soft light shining through a gobo at 10% creating the light pattern on the floor. I was collaborating with an entire class full of students at Eastern Connecticut State University who helped ready the space.
