Inspired by my wife who suffers from depression and anxiety, as well as several friends who live with other forms of mental illness, I tried to convey in a still image the torment and anguish that they and many others have to endure daily.
Other than some minor retouching, this photo was created completely in camera, with a 6-second shutter speed, first-curtain sync, and some second-rate acting skills.
