This image of a Monarch butterfly was captured on a warm, late spring day in Florida. A bounty of Monarch butterflies were in flight that day. They glided flower to flower & sipped their share of tasty nectar. It was a challenge to get the shot as this Monarch butterfly was already prominently perched atop a cluster of pink Panama rose buds. It was crucial that I approached discreetly so that the Monarch butterfly wouldn't have took flight. When I composed & prepared for capture, I felt I was at a complete disadvantage for an acceptable shot. I thought I was too far away & not stable enough as I had to balance on a small brick. When I imported the image file I found out I was totally wrong!
