Clinging to a rock in heaving current was not in the original plan, but I had the frame in my mind and wanted it in my camera. Hardest part was keeping the horizon straight and staying still enough not to scare the shark. Sad to think that all the corals on this remote Indian Ocean Island have recently been exposed to a bleaching event, and it will take many years before they are returned to their former splendour. I feel privileged to have been able to document this landscape in all its glory.
