The International Space Station is seen crossing in front of the solar disk in this image. This transit took about 0.53 seconds, so don't blink! This was captured with a Canon 1DC in 4K video mode at 24 frames per second and every frame that had an image of the ISS was stacked to give the final composite image. A 800mm Canon f/5.6 lens was used with a 2X tele-extender and a mylar solar filter. A sun spot cluster is visible on the upper portion of the solar disk. The CalSky website was used to predict the location for and the time of the crossing.
