This shot is part of series of shots I'm doing with the aim of artistically representing different phobias or disorders. In my mind, I often envision different illnesses/disorders such as depression, OCD, or addiction as a dark, sinister invitation that is reaching out for those affected. Yet at the same time, the pull of that invitation is almost irresistible. Shot with a gridded speedlight pointed at the model coming from the room on the right. I'm lucky enough to have an absolute dungeon of a basement in the building where I rent my flat, so I didn't have to go very far for this one!
