Golden Gaviota

For more than 15 years now, I have documented and archived the original wooden piers in the state of california. Many are historically protected, but the devastation from the ocean storms knows no such thing. This image is one of the last taken of the Gaviota Pier before the storm demolished her into slivers of pulverized wood.
