A 3:30 am wake up call can really pay off! Leaving Jackson, WY bright and early and driving through Grand Teton National Park on the way to Yellowstone, presented a lot of great photo opportunities. While my girlfriend admired the scenery, I set up my tripod and captured a few shots of the Teton Mountain Range, as wide as possible, while the moon was making its final descent. The sun, just barely starting to rise from behind, provided a beautiful purple and pink sky. Just before this capture, the wolves must have noticed us as they started to howl. It didn't take long to un-nerve me after that and we continued our journey to Yellowstone.
