Milky Way over Joshua Tree National Park

Dark sky, arid air, and high elevation make Joshua Tree National Park very popular destination for astrophotography. The only drawback is light pollution of the west sky. However, travel to the east side of the park and point the camera into the same direction and you'll capture beautiful arch of the Milky Way. If you're lucky you'll get some green airglow at the proper location of the sky and the Milky Way will display the full spectrum of colors, from green, through blues till oranges of the core.
