Kimalea in her backyard in Telluride, CO in February. Kimalea was amazing. A cancer survivor, she had an energy that made it hard for us to keep up with her despite being much younger. I've shot a lot of cancer survivors, and every single one of them has that same infectious zest for life that probably only comes after you've almost had your life taken away.
