Early Summer Portrait

This was my third formal portrait shoot with now 8 month old Gavin. This shot was taken during a game of me playing peek-a-boo from behind the camera to get Gavin to smile. It worked perfectly but when i went back behind the camera he would give this great look. The sunlight filtering through the trees continuously changed with the wind. The light for this shot and a few more lit the bench perfectly behind him setting him off from the bench. Westcott 42" reflector was placed in front of the camera position angled up . Nikon D750 with 85mm 1.8 lens, handheld (its almost impossible to keep focus on the eye with the camera on a tripod and a very active 8 month old).
