This is a portrait of Vaquero Fantasma, the "Ghost Cowboy"
I was approached by the ghost who said he needed help. He'd never had his portrait taken, and so I told him I was the man for the job. He's mostly very quiet, but also somebody you don't want to prod. There's a darkness in him that I wanted to share a glimpse of. His eyes sit in pure blackness, almost like floating bulbs. I stood inches away from him and asked him to simply look at me. He did, and this is what the shot.
