Lake Memories

Shaped by glaciers, rivers and weather. Mountains cover the whole territory forming a unique balance between deep valleys and never-ending mountain ridges. Dolomites you got my heart skip a beat.

It was an April morning as I walked up the hill to get to this awesome spot I planned to shoot. A lake filled of waters which the winter had supplied should be the perfect place for my morning coffee.
The composition between a deep blue lake, an empty lake house and a mountain covered by a veil of mist got my full attention and let me dive deeper into the whole scenery.
I set up my tripod about three feet (one meter) above the lake surface, focused my lens on that small island in the middle which gave me the opportunity to change my whole idea of composition. Afterwards I used an ND-Filter to create a water surface that puts motion into a colorful spring memory.
Days to remember.
