Technically speaking, this is not a photo of a 'truck'. It is in fact a photo of a 'utility vehicle' otherwise known in the land down-under as a 'ute'.
I can say that as they were invented and first built in Australia by Ford Australia in response to a request by a farmers wife who wanted a vehicle which could be used to take her to church in comfort on Sunday and carry farm 'stuff' around the rest of the week. Apparently she made the request after a bank refused to provide a loan to purchase a car because it couldn't be used for business purposes.
Fact.
And, incidentally, apparently, when the concept was first submitted to the powers that be in the USA for approval it was rejected as a stupid idea .
But a nice looking vehicle and a great photo.
