On a personal note: the sand flies of New Zealand are the devil incarnate. After being eaten alive while shooting this Milky Way scene, standing in a pool of water, I have countless itching and burning bites all around my ankles and up to my calf to prove it. From henceforth I declare that the sand flies of New Zealand are my mortal enemy.
