Jenny Portrait

I had some free time over the easter break so met up with Jenny to do a quick, simple and hopefully beautiful shoot. I wanted to try a soft portrait light and then move onto harder modern lighting. Jenny is a great model but doesn't have much experience so it got a little tricky trying to manage her composure and potential embarrassment due to family constantly watching, and although they are supportive, sometimes too much support can be a bad thing. We talked a lot, had great conversation, ate easter eggs and soon she relaxed and became a complete natural, listening and taking direction wonderfully. Minimal equipment had to be used as it took place in my family home. This is my favourite from the soft light setup and from the entire day, exactly what I wanted to achieve and actually surpassed what I expected. Pretty happy with what we got.

I used 2 x Profoto B1 Strobes with a large shoot through umbrella and a small silver umbrella. Shot on a Canon 1 DX using 100mm Macro 2.8 L lens, tethered into Capture One Pro.
