Ulun Danu Bratan Temple

3:45am - alarm goes off. 15 minutes later I'm outside to meet my guide for the day, the amazing Yande who runs Bali Photography Tours. An hour and a half later we are still half an hour short of sunrise, so plenty of time to get get set up and sip on a strong coffee.
Frustratingly the tungsten lights were still on, casting the temple in a yellow glow. As the first clues of the sun started to show, they cast an eerie glow over the low-hanging clouds against the mountains. The sun rose very quickly as we were near the Equator, so timing was everything.
