I've always had a thing for swimming even if I rarely get to do so. So in may 2013, I decided to do something with a bathtub. I got in touch with my friend Velvet Salas - one of Costa Rica's top makeup artists - and presented her the canvas for what I had in mind and let her do her own thing. The goal was to take the regular bathtub shot and pimp it up a little.

I decided to drop my old Metz hotshoe flash in the water and tethered with an extension. Some color filters were added to both the flash underwater and the ringlight I used as main light. The water also had some skimmed milk.

The model is Jeannine Smith from Annabelle Cho Model Placement who was together with my good friend and also model Eduardo. He has been the best assistant I have ever had. So, other than Jeannine who is Canadian, the whole shoot is purely Costa Rican made.

This was my first Beauty shoot and one of my favorite shots to this day, mostly because of the people who worked with me - love you guys.

I recently found out this project was selected for MakeUp Arts Served page on Behance earlier in August. They showcase some of the best material on their site under the MakeUp category.
