An evening spent at Achnahaird beach in the Coigach region of Scotland proved to be quite a challenge in composition. After exploring the beach and struggling to find a pleasing composition, I finally found this winding pool amongst the sand dunes and immediately saw that it had potential. I took a few exposures early in the evening, but the light wasn't quite right so I explored the beach further and then return to the same spot to take this shot later in the evening when the light had improved.
