The 26-year-old Liliana Crociati de Szaszak was killed in 1970 during her honeymoon in Innsbruck, Austria, when her hotel was struck by an avalanche. The life-size bronze statue of Liliana in her wedding dress was created by Wíeredovol Viladrich. Following the death of her dog Sabú, a statue of the dog was added by the same sculpture.
