While I was in the Azores, some friends and I chartered a small boat near Vila Franco do Campo off the southern coast of Sao Miguel. As the sun began to set, I noticed this large boat off to our west. I asked the captain of our boar to try to help me line up this shot. The ocean was choppy due to the wind that night so getting a sharp image was difficult. Fortunately I was able to capture this silhouette right before the sun dipped below the horizon.
Outstanding color! I am loving the way the boat is covering the sun creating the silhouette. Very well shot!
Thank you Elliot. I am getting seasick all over again thinking about how hard it was to line that up on a moving boat.
